WI past a decent "shall issue " law, that will allow for most other states to be recognized. They put in Legislation that will prevent cities from passing laws to prevent CC as well. CC will be allowed in a lot of places that other states prohibit, but still allow the property owner or business to determine access.

The one thing I did not like was that they classify CC weapons. This was done because of the strict laws on transport of a weapon in WI. Right now a rifle, or shotgun cannot touch a vehicle unless it is in a case and you have to case your shotgun to walk across a public road or right of way.

I use to hunt a piece of ground that had a bike path through it. The bike path was built on an old railroad bed. So we had to carry a sleeve to put the gun in to walk across the 25ft wide path. Friend who owned the land on either side recieved a ticket when the DNR saw him cross the path uncased.

I recieved a ticket as well for leaning my shotgun against the tire of a combine. I got out of the ticket by proving the combine had the motor pulled and was placed where it was as a deer stand.
In my lifetime I have seen fence row to fence row farming and the return of CRP and game to the landscape. Now we face again the prosepect of fence row to fence row again! Sportsman are our own worst enemy in that we fail to look forward and focus to much on the now!

that's gotta suck, and almost getting a ticket just because you leaned your shotgun up against a GUTTED combine is assinine. it's like bringing a plastic toy gun that cannot fire anything to school and getting arrested, it has happend.

free thinker = no thinker
