Re:What do you mean by that? Just curious.
Just a lil' Slap n Tickle, n Tickle n Slap....
Be careful, I can be potentially deadly....
I'm a one man wolfpack... A quote from my boyfriend Robbie. "I spent the night in jail once. A bunch of times." |

Re:This is the second year I have seen this buck. Last year he broke one side of his rack in October. He is a huge body deer- look at the width betwen his shoulders and brisket. I am not sure what he would wiegh, but I am betting it would be a lot. |

Re:short snout young deer?? that cant be correct i think you have that one backwards...

Re:Oh, I think you are looking at a pretty mature deer here. The big blocky shoulders and body with the big Roman nose represent a mature deer. I bet this buck is 4 1/2 yrs old or more and is either on his way down in horn size or just didn't have the great genetics to start. Great buck to take!!
"When we step into the outdoors, we have the privilege of standing in the presence of God through the power and majesty of His creation. That makes hunting more than a sport or a hobby. It's a calling to something greater. And that transforms the places that we stand into something more than a cropfield or a pasture or a mountain. It makes that place Hallowed Ground." |

Re:have you seen a long snout on a fawn? its not backwards, he was insinuating that this "old" deer had a short snout, and not a long one, which you would think that it would have

Re:I sure hope the critters can catch a break this winter "not like last year". Because the G&F sure isn't going to cut the tags in 1/2 like they should have done in some areas.
Things are looking pretty bad in these parts, I'd say # are at about 70% less than they were at the same time last year...not good. older buck by the way

Re:well if hes blind in one eye you should be able to just walk right up to him haha so you should have a chance |
|
Re:this is a 4 1/2 year old deer. short snout (roman nose) = old buck this is not a short snout, it just looks like it becuase of the roman nose and size of the deer. bubble head = young deer |

Re:If the deer is handicapped like this one could a person use a crossbow? ![]() |
|
Re:he doesn look young when u look at his shoulders. i have just never seen that short of a snout on an older buck. i didnt say it wasnt an old deer. but yes he sure does look cold

Re:"If the deer is handicapped like this one could a person use a crossbow? That's sad, but funny... Live like you'll die tomorrow, |

Re: i would say he if a very old deer by the size of his body. and i can only assume that he is going downhill on the rack

Re:Snout looks short because of the thick shoulder and neck. Kinda like how some canadian 150-160 racks look small compared to the big bodies. |
