My step-grandfather told me a number of times about the year he got his crop in by March 20th-ish in 1954(?). He claims it was his best crop ever. This would have been for durum. Wish I could recall the details now, always amazed me at how he would recall exact dates even though it had been 30 or 40 years. Heck, I have difficulty remembering the year my kids were born.

Sure remember seeding peas, then seeing the air drill buried in the snow bank, not that many years ago, and it was a fairly calm winter, I wouldn't say its over yet, what was it in 03, 04 that it was in the teens in July, plus froze at least once a month, every month

Just think back to those 2 times you got a little something-something and add about 9.5 months

That's why I know they are hers, otherwise I was going to get a maternity test.

I think it was 54  and there were good prices to boot.   My dad told about the bumper crop , He bought a brand new dodge pickup  and put side boards on it and hauled  flax to the elevator.     The first load he hauled in paid for the pickup.   $ 1,400

Life was good.
