I think they need to spend more time practicing their shooting.

Not sure about the move, I think to many shows make the jump to National way before they are ready and some will never be ready. Its nice to see a local show do well but I think maybe spend a few more years getting better at filming and being in front of the camera. I have watch most of their shows and they are not bad but not sure which ones they would put on the national TV I only saw a couple that would be the quality that I would run with. Again not bad for a local show but I think they probably jumped before they looked.

Here is the message I got.

We signed a deal on Friday to take our show to the National scene, starting in July on the Pursuit Channel, 608 Direct TV. We are excited, nervous and grateful for the opportunity and recognition of the networks soliciting us to come to the National stage! It will be our honor to continue delivering an entertaining product. Thanks to all for your support and encouragement.

Not sure I'm going to like ND hunting being broadcasted on a national basis.....sounds like a good way to spread the word about something we don't need spread.

I've seen a couple of shows and they put the location right on the screen.  I bet they have some of the locals not so happy with them already.

Diddo on the shooting practice.

I'm hoping that CNN keeps promoting the terrible floods we deal with...that will keep them out.

Wow, could not agree more. If this is the show I watched a couple weeks back. One of the guys was archery hunting goats, missed like three goats and then gut shot one. watched it lay down gut shot. Then, the narrator mentioins he did get a chance to practice all summer!!!!

First of all, some things are better left un-said. Also, they did have the option of not showing all the misses leading up to a gut shot.

We all know misses are part of the game, but, shooting until you run out of arrows or finally hit something isnt the best viewing option, IMO. If my memory serves me right, the week prior also showed some real poor shooting. yes, now I remember (think it was sitka blacktail hunting) the guy missed the deer entirely, than, ass hit the deer, than, couldnt hit it to finish it off, not a tough shot either. All this was on camera. An ass hit deer staggering around  and nobody there that could finish it off. eventually getting the deer. Real lame footage and poor, poor shooting. Again, show the intial shot and the next caption should have been sitting over the animal. The real story didnt need to be shared on camera.

dont preach ethics, practice, patience etc... and than present quite the opposite on your show. Again, the antelope show was not in the best taste. I watch a lot of outdoor shows weekly and most try and edit out woundings and comments about poor shooting attributed to lack of practice.

I think this is the problem with a lot of shows out there. To many guys with big heads and deep pockets. They just buy a camera and film a few hunts and call it a show. Again its not bad for a first year local show but why take the jump with so little experience. Why not work your way up. I guess thats the world today, everyone is in a big hurry and takes short cuts! I wonder if they will continue to air in ND or if it will just be the big time now. I don't get the Pursuit channel and I actually enjoyed some of their shows.

Hey guys.

Thanks for all the feedback, both positive and critical. We honestly take it all to heart and hope to learn from all of it.

I can tell you that my Antelope show is being worked on as we speak, as it truly did not capture what I experienced as a fun first antelope hunt with a good friend. I don't believe it was presented exactly how I hoped it would and many of you have confirmed that. We had a lot of fun, even though I got pretty rattled with my first few bad shot attempts. I am human, that is for sure. It was my first time hunting Antelope and I was thankful for making the havest in the end. It taught me some very good lessons that I will take into the field this seaon. I do wish it would all have played out differently but it did not. Thankfully my last shot was angled enough and with the cut of the Rage 2 blade it was fatal, albeit still a bit too far back. Whether you have ever made a shot like that before or not, I'm sure you understand it was important to know that the animal expired relatively quickly.

Our decision to go National was both a dream of ours and something encouraged by our supporting partners. Again, we are completely revamping many of our shows before they hit the local networks again this fall and National in July. We have no ceiling in my opinion on the post production and want to continue raising the bar. We truly welcome your feedback, even if it is critical. We'd like to think we can get everyone's support and interest in our show, although I suppose that's not reality in todays world.

We also promise to not represent our state in any way other than favorable. I enjoy the rights we have to hunt here, on public land or your friendly farmer's land, so we don't want that to change in any way either.

I hope you don't fault us for wanting to give the National scene our best efforts. And I do believe we are working hard to take all comments into our studio to produce what you may want to see. So again, thanks for your support and critical feedback. We are happy to be a ND based Outdoor Show working hard and having some fun.

Regards and good luck.
