Wicked Tuna on GOPRO

I recently returned from a trip to Cabo. I have about 80 un-edited minutes of fishing on a GoPro camera that I got for Christmas. The camera is the Hero 2. In the raw footage we caught 35-45 yellow fin tuna. Does anyboby in the Minot area have experience editing footage from a Hero 2? If so would anyone be willing to give me a lesson in editing? I will pay for the help, I certainly don't expect something for nothing! We also caught a 180 lb marlin but that was recorded on a sony cam corder. It would be really cool to incorperate that into the final video, because all the fish were caught the same day. Thanks in advance, Tim

What kind of computer do you have? and software?  I used to have a gopro 2 and now I have the gopro 3 Black edition.   You need some high quality stuff to make good videos and or even watch the videos depending on wht rate ya shot them at?

Get a VLC player off the internet to watch them, free download and plays the mp4 h264 go pro format.  For editing depends on if ya have a Mac or regulr type pc ? and how powerfull it is.

I have the original go pro and the editing software is pretty basic. Just play around with the software.

I just use windows movie maker (if you have an apple iMovie works too) to edit and save my hero2 videos. Pretty easy to use and you can save in many different formats, such as hd for computer, hd for tv, phone and upload directly to YouTube.( as long as its below 15 minutes I think.)

Sorry to change this subject but do any of you gous have any cool homemade mounts or good ideas for mounting the cameras to get cool shots?

i tried to mount one to my shotgun but the recoul is to much and it "swings" back on the mount, i wish they had ridges so it gripped better.

Buddy of mine uses the head strap for his go pro and gets awesome footage. I picked one up after seeing the video. (I tried mounting to shotgun too)

I was able to get the movies onto my wives Macbook pro, unedited. I have 2 40-45 minute clips. I wore the camera on a head strap. I also used the gopro snorkling, para-sailing, and cruising 70mph past the Arch on a jet ski. It's really cool watching it on a 13.3 inch lap top, I can't imagine how it will look on my 42" tv. Thanks for the feedback guys!

Tripod mount on the bill of a hunting hat works great. And 5$ vs 20$

Thanks Taylorman-55 @ KAT We fished with Picante on Caliente.........very nice but very expensive, got the day at $1800 for four of us. 42 ft beautiful boat and ran 35 miles out of the Marina. They were not worried about burning fuel. A buddy paid for the day! I am greatful! I booked a second day on the Bob Marlin with JC sportfishing, the day was cancelled due to the wind. That would have been cheaper a $700.00. I have heard good things about JC and Red Rum and Picante. I have heard from people that have used all three and read more reviews on trip advisor as well. Stay away from the fly by nighters. The tuna bite was alledgedly over a month ago. We caught 40 or so in 2 hours on1/14/13. We also caught a #180lb striped marlin and 2 dorado. On the tuna, more often than not all four of us had a tuna on at the same time! It was a fricking GONG SHOW!! Picante did have some 36-38 ft boats in the $900.00 range. Still high but one checked off the Bucket List! PM me if you want any contact info for any of the three I mentioned.
