Who's going fishing this weekend?

It's about time...This weekend looks to be shaping up for some beeeeeautiful fishing weather.  Partly sunny not much wind mid-70's....I'm taking a half-day today and heading to the lake for the weekend....
....................FISH ON !!!  

In Heaven there is no beer
(No beer?!)
That's why we drink it here
And when we're all gone from here
Our friends will be drinking all the beer.

If a normal work day is 9am-5:30pm do you think they would consider a half-day leaving at 11am?  I bet if I "promise" all my work is done I could leave early...who am I kidding I'm not really going to do any work today it's Friday and I have FISH on the brain.

I am going both days this weekend, after replacing the fuse on the power cord to the trolling motor with one of those self resetting breakers. Had an old fuse shatter in the holder, making for a miserable last trip out. 10 bucks at scheels is worth it. I was out Monday and Tuesday, and both days did exceptionally well on Sakakawea. The big walleye had catfish in his belly. Is that normal? I didn't think walleyes ate catfish. Anyone else catching a TON of small northerns?

Yeah, gonna take the boat out to Sakakawea tomorrow and looks like the weather will be too good to resist on Sunday also.  It will be my first time boat fishing on Sakakawea, so hopefully it will be smooth.  If anyone has some tips for the Lund's Landing area, I would very appreciative.  Good luck to everyone this weekend and have fun!

I'll be on the river tonight and tomorrow morning. Hopefully shooting carp on Sunday...or fishing if the sun's not out.

My son and I are driving down to DL this afternoon.  We can fish tonight but need to be in Neche tomorrow for a baseball tournament.  Should get back to the lake for the evening bite and sunday belongs to us.  Weather looks good.

Lunds might be a bit muddy for any decent fishing. we fished White Earth, the farther west we went, the poorer the fishing was, unless you want little saugers, then they are plentiful, as well as catfish. We finished up fishing tuesday around little knife, in front of the mudline. Anywhere between 4 and 25', working whatever structure we could find and seeing big returns for our efforts. Jigs and minnows worked for us, guys pulling cranks did alright too. I would think that by the time the mudline gets south of the bridge, van hook should be hopping. Especially with this nice weather.

oh -the least important stuff - boat rods and reels.  dont worry about bait as we will need to get some more thiry packs.

The Dutchman is on the back of my pickup ready to head up to Devils.  This will be the third evening of the week that I'll be up there.  Finally I can work on my sandal tan.

I have a funeral to go to in Watertown tomorrow, and I had to go to Bismarck today to take care of some stuff.  It was my wifes only day off this week, so I didn't make it out on such a nice day.   Sunday I'll maybe make it out in the evening, In hope.

But,.........I went out by myself on Wed., and Thr. and caught my limit of nice walleye both days.  The total fishing time was maybe 3 hours.  The boat ramp is less than 1 mile from my house, (now that the water is up)  and on Wednesday,  I left my house at 6:00 pm, and was back at 8:40.  Thursday,  I left the gas station at 11:30 am, then checked  the time as I put my 5th keeper in my bucket, it was 1:00 pm.   Oh, and since I teach school, I really don't have to go to work all week.
