I live on the river out here in NE Montana and have to go quite some distance to find decent sized perch. I want to take wife perch fishing this weekend for her birthday but don't really know what kind/size jigs to use for bigger sized perch. I will be using small flatheads for bait unless you guys think something else is better. I will be on a lake that is 19' at its deepest with fairly clear water. Any info is appreciated, thanks!!

What's your favorite Perch Jig?
Anything with a dropper chain is deadly on perch.
I've really come to like the Ratso by Custom Jigs and Spins. Supposed to be a bluegill bait, but its done well on perch. No bait needed.
"No, I'm not a good shot, but I shoot often." - TR
the nuclear ant by custom jigs and spins is as deadly as they come, pink with black legs seems to be the most deadly
" NO, I'M NOT A GOOD SHOT, BUT I SHOOT OFTEN"
Small bare hook with a wax worm threaded on small spilt shot and a bobber then use what ever you want next to it see what catchs more
Agreed with the drop chain....i like Hali's with the dropper chain or small swedish pimples both tipped with either waxies or a minnow head
Northland Buckshot with a dropped hook, but that new clam bomb spoon looks good!
IF IT FLIES, IT DIES
Has anyone ever tried the Northland Tackle Impulse Minnow Heads?
Either a orange and chartruce or green and chartruce Kastmaster tipped with a minnow head
Pink or chartruce doodle bug or Genz worms jigs for deadsticks... For jigging I like to use smaller buckshot spoons or smaller silver swedish pimple, both with dropper chains, for jigging. Good Luck!!
