fished the refuge area north of the road 24 feet of water did very well on walleyes caught several nice walleyes kept 4 16-18 inches caught all on dead sticks ice jigs and fatheads did throw 5 or 6 smaller fish 14 and under one nice perch about 12 inches it is an evening bite after 4:30 till dark it was pretty fast and furious it took them awhile to suck in the minnows bobber would go down had to wait for them missed a few because we were to impatient. actually had to stick my arm down the hole to fish out 3 of our keepers they spit out the hook as they were coming up also there is alot of ice/snow combination seemed pretty firm would guess around 30 inches but not solid clear ice. good luck guys 400 plus mile trip four 4 keepers and a perch but it was worth it.
