Saw a big flock of snows/blues ect. just west of steele today...also saw a descent number of canadians going out to feed as they flew over my motel in wahpeton...not much in between there though....if this forecast for the weekend holds I would think we would see more movement soon though.

Saw thousands of birds up by Devils Lake last week of all varieties. Not as many snows as lessers, Canadians and blues. Lot's of bigger flocks of Ducks heading south as well. Pretty sure they were held up there though as I saw them 4 days in a row feeding and on the water, weather was pretty nice and lots of corn freshly cut to munch on.

If everyone focused on the important things in life the world would have a shortage of fishing poles.

I work across the river in Crookston, MN. I have been seeing many more large flocks flying around this week.

Out the last week for ducks and the numbers are low where I have been.  Nothing really moving in Bis yet.

I don't think most of the birds are down from Canada. I work at a border crossing and most guys coming back are not seeing the birds like in past years. I hope this means a mild November. My guess is the birds will set until a big storm and fly over ND for the most part.
Hunt with your kids, not for them!

We get strong NW winds in this approaching system and shhhhaaaWING the birds will fly on by.  Maybe not though, we aren't iced up here yet.

Lots of snows and blues, fair number of ducks and candas around Devils Lake.  They have been in the same fields of ours for a couple of weeks.  The warm weather and abundance of water, I don't foresee them leaving too soon.  Plus, the strong south winds lately, they definately aren't leaving.
If it don't make your knee's shake and your pants wet, it's not worth it!
