I brought up the topic in another thread an we got off the beaten trail from the original post so I started a new one.   Taylorman,   I think a vintage  run would be fun, Even funner if there was fishing involved .   But that's just me wanting to kill 2 birds with one stone.  Has ND had any vintage runs in the past ?    Prairie public tv had a program about one in MN It looks like a good time .    If anyone knows of a good online source of parts let us know,   I am having a hard time finding moldings,  trim and vents .     Skoal,  Those rollo flexes  were cool. My buddy had one.

Here are a couple ND events:

I hope to travel up to the Minot event. Sounds like fun.
I've heard the Snowjam is also cool.

There are a few vintage runs in the eastern part of the state and more across the river on the MN side, lots of sleds, lots of memories! If anyone knows where I could get a hold of a 1970 TX send me a PM. Lots of them made but I'm having a hard time finding one, if anyone knows of one let me know.

The Harvey Avenue Saloon out of Minto ND has an annual old sled run. Used to be anything older than 84'. They run from Minto to Forest River to Oakwood to Warsaw and back to Minto. I've even seen some old Sno Travelers on that run.

Excellent to hear guys... talked to my dad... hopefully we can join in on a few of those... should have the ski doo Elite there (side by side motor in the back) and his completely restored Alpine (2 tracks one ski) and matching sleigh.... sounds like it will be a ton of fun!

I think they used to have one in Valley City.  But that was quite a few years ago since I have heard of anything.  There is something cool about those vintage sleds.  I put thousands of miles on our 440 Roll O Flex.  It was the work out, kind of like trying to steer a rock.

My dad used to race them for the company, they really went in their day!!!

Anybody know any collectors/sellers in ND or NW MN?  I'm looking for some unique sleds such as the Skidoo Elite, Polaris Sno Coupe, Raiders, etc.

Has anyone ever driven one of the Chrysler SnoRunners?

There is an Eliet on ebay @  Foley MN   but the price is right up there.  Might be worth a call to make an offer on it .

I know  that Nekoma, Cavalier and Drayton each have a run every year.  They are not the biggest but I believe they get around 50 sled for the first two location but Drayton was fewer last year because of warm temps. These are the ones my son likes to ride his in.  You get to see alot of cool things at a vintage sled run.  Randy

A guy I work with has a Raider that he was talking about getting rid of. PM your number and I'll give it to him. I've ridden a SnoRunner. Glorified moped with a ski and 4" wide track. I have another buddy who has a Trail a Sled Snow Plane that he wants to sell. He's talking some serious money though. It's a factory built snow plane with electric start and cab heat.

I had to google the Muscaro,  I had never heard of those.   I stumbled on a list of vintage sleds and there were a bunch  more I had never heard of.

Our first sled back in 1968 was a Larson Falcon.     It was a single cylinder with dual carbs.

My next project is a 1975 Polaris TC 175 .  Does   Anyone have one for parts or in running condition that  they want to sell ?    PM me if you have any old sleds you wouldnt mind getting rid of.

I just gave an old Scorpion Whip to a buddy. The Whip was overall in great condition however a bearing had seized up. My buddy was going to try to get her running again. He runs a business fixing up sleds and parting others out. I'll get his information out shortly. He primarly does business in ND and MN.

Stephen MN has a run every year and they get over 100 vintage sleds at that one. Also as stated above Drayton has one that goes to surrounding towns.
