Whats the over all difference between the saints team this year compaired to last year. If I was not for Bushes two returns for touchdowns it would not of even been a game.

If it wasn't for the two 45 plus yard TD passed to Rice would the Viking game have ended the same???

More shoulda, woulda, coulda....

Simple answer of course is no, but would the ultimate winner of the game have been any different outside of those two plays?

I would have to say no.

This game will be very simple to predict.  The team that's Defense shows up will win.

Those kind of "what if" games make no sense.  You can't take away the big plays and pretend they didn't happen.

Tomorrow I expect a game where the offenses for both teams have success moving the ball.  The Saints have a defense that gives up yards between the 20's but forces turnovers at a pretty high rate.  The Vikings defense has more "shut down" ability than the Saints but the Saints offense is very explosive.

The Vikings have been good at getting TD's in the red zone.  That will be key tomorrow.

The Saints score on a lot of big plays.  The Vikings defense needs to keep those plays from ending up in the end zone and make Brees and company work for points.  As long as they haven't scored anything can happen.  Lots of drives end up with a FG because of a false start or a holding penalty, etc.

Special teams scares me because of Bush and the Vikings inconsistency.

Of course, none of the above matters if turnovers become an issue.  Either team is in big trouble if they get behind and become one-dimensional.  Just like any other game at any level of football.

It would be nice to see Adrian run the ball on the outside.

Hey!  I was just on the other side of the tennis court and played back!

I will say this, whoever scores the most big plays tomorrow wins.  So doens't that kinda mean the big plays mean something?  In the NFL three things kill ya, turnorvers, big plays and penalties.  That's my look at it anyway.

Sometimes though, I think special teams can cost you football games.  But I suppose they'd be considered or factored into the "big play" side of things.

The difference is simple its the SAINTS D....look at what they were able to do to the Cards...made them look like the Bears... Cards put up 51 on the Pack the week before and then go down to the big easy and get manhandled....I hate to say it but that is the difference and if the vikes give up a couple big plays early and have to play catch up..they are going to be in trouble

Vikings have not lost on indoor turf yet this year. All loses are outside on grass. As long as the vikings dont get down by more than 10 they will be ok. Anymore than that they are in trouble.  Vikings 31 Saints 27

I look for MN to run at will tomorrow. AP should have a huge game. Hopefully the Vikes get up early and take the crowd out of it. Key will be Vikings defense. They need to get pressure on Brees with the front four. Hopefully Allen goes wild! Should be a great game either way!

New Orleans is a big play defense.  Seriously, if they don't get that big play or two they are not near the team.

tick, tock, tick, tock

Yes fox has been a mess, it's terrible! Vikes may have some probs tomorrow, kinda hard to protect you QB when your offensive line cannot hear. The snap count is the omly advantage the o-line has. That just may make keying on AP easier as well as limiting the vikes O to short passes.

I dont go around guessing cup sizes either I just know a nice rack when I see one.

Crowd noise is only a problem as long as the saints are in the game.  If the Vikes can shut the crowd up early it will be huge!  We need another start like last week and that will limit the home filed advantage in a hurry.  Also the Saints offense is capable of putting up a pile of a points in a short period of time.  We need to keep the petal to the metal all game no matter what the score is... of course while still having a nice mixture of runs & passes.  The saints are going to get a heavy dose of AP which hopefully will wear them out by the 2nd half.  Steady pressure on mr. brees is goign to be a must!  Scary offense when they are clicking!  It's going to be a shootout and I cannot wait!!! GO VIKES!

Well i guess i'm a saints fan tomorrow.  haha...  As far as the fox thing goes i heard a bunch of towers went out from the rain so you may want to find someone with a dish tomorrow.  If it's a network problem they might as well kiss their nfl contract goodbye if they can't get it fixed.
