Nice 'eye! 

I thought things only grow that big in Texas!

The guy landing it looks like Jeff from Last mountain lake. He guided us to a few spots up there this winter and said he had fished over on the red but i'm not sure if it was ice or not. Big pig anyway!!!

Haha, just found out from my buddy that it is him and the one that caught the fish is his brother. What a small world. I guess the fish went over 16#.

They were fishing and guided with Stu McKay Of "Cats on the Red" and another good friend of mine Roger...(the guy on the right clearing the slush from the hole)....HUGE fish...we have caught and released several over 15 lbs, and this fish was far larger. 25" girth x  33" length is closer to 18+ than 16 on the Red, massive girth all the way back.

Rogers first impression was 15 lbs easy, he has seen a few the past 2 seasons when fishing together up on the Red and the lake, and once in the tent he seen she was far larger in girth alone and confided in me that she was likely an 18.

She was released after a few more pictures in Stu's Clam Thermal. Likely we will see one bigger pop up this March yet...hope so. March on the big lake will be something guys! It is getting good already.
