Ok Tim, I know you must actually read real news, whats your thoughts on this?

I think one needs to remember that export does not mean Government involvement. Oil companies selling there product is what I get from this. I dont believe big oil co's really care if the US becomes energy independant. It is their job to make $ for their company.

Thats what I get out of it also. $ is #1, screw the US in the name of money. even if being subsidised buy US taxpayer.

Unless I missed something a month or so ago when I first read on this subject the US is no where even close to a net exporter of oil. I believe we are the biggest importer.

We have for the first time in a long time become a net exporter of fuel products.

Lots of economics at play there. And that includes government mandate interference.

But yeah, fuel is a world market and believe it or not we have been declining in our demand for fuel since something like 2007. With increase in domestic production we are able to refine our own oil and then sell accordingly. I won't fault a company selling to better markets. And don't forget we do supply a lot globally because we have refineries and also other countries own refineries here.

Gotta take it all into consideration on this topic. Think global

according to this article, there is up to 2 trillion barrols of oil that at this point really isn't oil because of how old it is, someone brought a sample of balkin to my dads office and it didn't look like crude oil, it was fairly clear and smelled like diesel. at election time the polititions always say that they will reduce our dependance on foreign oil, with wind, ethonal, and solar power, but they never say that they will try to promote more drilling here, with trillions of barrels of oil in the US, why not become energy independent, add a boost to the economy, and cripple OPEC? it's a win-win-win scenario.http://oilshalegas.com/greenriveroilshale.html

Imports.   We do not allow those things to be imported into this country, so we end up paying more.   We need a consistent  policy, not the gov't picking winners and losers.   I do not believe in crony capitalism.

Sorry for not being more clear, I sure didnt mean it that way.

This is the plan of the elite in this world.  You have the Rockerfellers, Rothschildes and other elite and our own politicans that control the worlds business.  Its buisness to them so they can make money.  Our Presidents want that and alot of other important people that run our country want this.  Its all about the money..plain and simple.  This is the what the Bilderberger group and the Trilateral commission want to happen and they do infact make it happen.  They are the ones pulling the strings on what goes on for the most part in this world.  They have put into office every President since Carter...maybe even before him.  They just dump a bunch of money into the campaigns of the ones they want in office so they can buy all their air time and travel time and tell you and i what we want to here and you guys vote for them.  Almost all of the people in this country vote for the one that gets out more and has more air time in tv and they minipulate your brain.  I will tell you guys in all honestly.  These groups usually own both the presidential nominees.  Whats better then owning both horses in a two horse race...nothing!  If people keep voting in people like we have been and keep getting brain washed by these people just because they get more tv exposure, nothing is going to change in the future.  I do know for a fact that the only candidate that is running that would do great for our country is Ron Paul.  Laugh if you will.  He is the only one that makes any sense.  The only one that fights for our constitution and what is means for our country.  Just watch him shut down most of the others in debates when he brings up the constitution....the others can't argue.  All the others want the same things to  happen to this country as the past few presidents.  They want power and they are greedy, and they have the millions behind them to go after it!  That's it...its that simple.  Parties don't even matter anymore...

God put the oil in our country, I think it should stay here, and why do oil companies own what belongs to the people of this country anyway?l
