Growing up on a livestock and grain farm near Streeter, ND, provided ample opportunities to be in the outdoors and to become the sportsman, I am today. With every rain storm came a break in the farming activities, and a rod and reel, bike, firearm or some type of outdoor activity soon began.

This obsession with the outdoors continued through my college years at Jamestown College and only grew stronger over time as I moved to Fargo in 1991 and began work for Great Plains Software which eventually became part of Microsoft.

During the later 90's, GPS technology started becoming more common and became a major tool in my hunting, fishing, and traveling activities.

In 2001, I started Kirsch’s Outdoor Products and published a series of GPS lake maps called Lake Trax.

Drury Outdoors did a coyote hunting segment for their Predator Madness Series of videos in North Dakota in 2005 and through my success as a predator hunter, they asked if they could hunt with me for a day. After this experience, I have been a main contributor both as a videographer and a hunter for the Predator Madness Series of DVDs.

In 2009, driven by a desire to optimize my outdoor time as much as possible while juggling work and family commitments, I released my most recent product called  NDTRAX 2009. NDTRAX is a GPS sportsman map including hunting, fishing, traveling, biking, camping, hiking and more for North Dakota. It is the only GPS map that covers the need for the all-around sportsman or sportswoman. It helps me optimize my outdoors time and it will help you as well. Minnesota (MNTRAX), Montana (MTTRAX), Wyoming (WYTRAX), and New Mexico (NMTRAX) were completed in 2009 and Colorado (COTRAX), Arizona (AZTRAX), Idaho (IDTRAX), Utah (UTTRAX) and Nevada (NVTRAX) were released in 2010.
