unregistared firearm in ND

Since when is a firearm need to be registared in ND  something seems fishy  drummed up charges maybe.

First and foremost, these are federal charges. Must be something in the federal laws requiring registration of homemade bombs. Kind of like the marijuana tax stamp.

id say the "firearm" would fall under the destructive device section. Which would make it a must to register with the ATF, the rules are simple.

Let's see.  First of all putting a bomb in a mailbox is likely a Federal offense.  Fully automatic firearms need to be registered.  Could have been that plus maybe he built it himself.  Before we go off on this more info is needed.
