You are looking to clean your pistol in an ultrasonic cleaner?

Actually, that sounds like a pretty good idea.  The only ultrasonic cleaner I have ever used was in a chemistry lab.  We had one for cleaning glassware and other pieces of analytical equipment.  They work exceptionally well for those hard to reach places.

That basic premise of them is that they vibrate the water at such a high frequency to cause cavitation (the creation of really small air bubbles and then letting them slam back into nothingness).  Cavitation is not always your friend as you can also see it on poorly setup boat propellers where pitting forms on the blades.

A buddy of mine has an ultrasonic cleaner for doing his brass, the only negative he has mentioned is the need for time to allow them to dry.  Hence you have to think ahead to allow the brass to dry.

Note, I wouldn't be surprised if an ultrasonic cleaner wouldn't remove bluing on a blued gun.  I would try it on the stainless or unfinished parts but would shy away from using it on the blued stuff.

A 5-10min spin in some untreated corncob media in a standard tumbler would dry it fast and easy.
