I have no idea how to feel or what will come of this. Depends if Martz operates like he has in the past. Crazy times in the Bears' organization.

Put it this way, it can't be any worse than last year!!!! We need Brandon Marshall in the worst way, then move Hester back to kick and punt returns, occasionally throw him in as a reciever....boy I have all the answers.....hahahahaha

At least with the Queens quarterback coach you had a chance, he has more experience then Martz.

I'm not the biggest fan of the guy, but he's got to be better than Ron Turner, hell a dog turd would be better than Turner. When Martz was at Detroit, they had a heck of a passing game, and I believe Jon Kitna was the QB, so who knows. It's probably a one year experiment anyways. See ya Lovie!!

Strange guy indeed but he is an offensive wizard. If they add some wideout talent he will make the offense roll. he coached the best offense in NFL history (Rams) in their hayday. They will spread the field and let it fly now!

I think he just wants to be head coach again. Bears seemed like his best bet. Especially with our personal problems and the beloved tampa 2 Lovie is obsessed with. In other words, we could have an offense this year but without a defense will it matter? But hey, maybe Lovie rights the defense and they get some development in their current roster (talent) and everything turns out. I know if it doesn't Lovie and Angelo are gone and that makes Martz most likely the next head coach with a lot of power (hiring of new GM, defensive staff, etc).

Very true, as any Bears fan i will dig deep and fine some hope and a lot of "maybe they can"s before next season. Although for now I feel like the Asian ground crew on Major League "they S&^tty!" then once the season starts i will hate them most weeks til about friday when i get some hope back before they play again, then repeat process. But regardless when they play the vikes I will still drive the 500mi to watch them make AP fumble some more.

I dunno Tim. ESPN Radio said this WAS NOT a done deal.

Lovie wants him, but the higher ups might not. Same with Cutler, who basically runs the show now.

I wonder what the over/under will be on Cutler's interception number before he gets benched? He had 26 in 09. I say 18 and he is on the bench.

I actually like Martz, but I don't care for Cutler. If this comes to fruition, they will air it out. The question is, How many INT's will Cutler throw? How many TD's did Tom Brady throw a few years back? 48? Maybe Cutler will throw 48 INT's! LOL!

Every piece of news I have read has said Martz is in. That includes TV I've watched tonight.

Cutler, cutler, cutler. The kid has potential. He's young, has the arm, etc. He made bad decisions but if any of you think it was all him you are mistaken. Lots of misreads, lots of poor play calling, lots of blame to go round. Should he have been throwing some of the tosses he did? Heck no!

How much will he throw next year? Can't say yet. Depends what Martz does. Two things happen with Martz. Lots of yards for the QB, lots of INTs and LOTS of QB hits. The first thing he better do is figure out how to fix the line. We'll see if Tice is the man everyone says he is in regard to offensive line genius. Will Martz abandon the run? Faulk sure enjoyed Martz. Forte is a receiving back. We'll see I guess.

The Bears have major issues with the defense. I don't know if they are going to get anyone signed. I wouldn't be surprised that Marinelli ends up the DC. Do I like that? Well, Lovie isn't backing down from the tampa 2 so I don't know if it really matters.

Cutler is a very talented QB with a lot of tools, i think his work ethic may be garbage though. I honestly dont think the guy was in playing shape til the year was over half over. He did a lot of scrambling in Denver and that opened up opportunities. He looked like a totally different guy but it seemed a bit came back towards the end. What happened is the man got paid and i really dont think he cared much, he got his money and he took a few more days off to enjoy it. Hopefully with a year under the pads there will be a bit more team chemistry and with that he will get some pressure to get his work in because he definately isnt getting any motivation from himself.
