Trenton Lake - Tuesday, February 2, 2010

Today was even better than yesterday. We got 9 Pike by tip up and jig pole. Also got 2 nice Crappie. One of the Pike pulled my jig pole in to the ice hole. I though I would never see that pole again. But about 2 hours later I had a flag on a tip up, and sure enough I got a smaller pike and my jig pole back. What had happened was the pike was dragging my pole and it got snagged on my tip up line. The pike do not seem to have a lot of size to then but they are a lot of fun to catch. The morning seam to be the best time to get on the pike and we are hoping to get into some bigger ones.

The Crappie are of very nice size and they are great fun to catch on a jig pole.

Also my wife lost a vary lard wall-eye at the hole. Not only big for this lake but the biggest one I have seen this year. ( on a jig pole)
