Tobacco Gardens / White Earth Bay Area - Saturday, June 13, 2009

Fri, Sat, Sun,  went out in the afternoons  only had action in the last 3 hrs of daylight.  Sauger were scattered on the edge of the drops to deep water but in 10 - 14 ft.  Crappies were starting to stage in the same depth but aren't ready to spawn yet.  Picked up 2 sauger and 4 crappies each night but did miss several.  minnows leaches and crawlers on lindys and jigs.  Nothing on the cranks I tried. and only on the drift did we get any hits.   Van Hook Sat was a bust, and ramp pleasantries were non-existant.  This is one of many reasons I like to leave the big boat behind and paddle the yaks.  Boat ramps are where I make them.
