Tobacco Gardens / White Earth Bay Area - Monday, February 2, 2015

Species Select:
Brief Report Details:

Been fishing White Earth Bay quite a bit the last couple weeks. We seem to max out at about 2 walleyes a night. We started out fishing 22' to 28' then moved out to 32+. We  had our best luck in 33' on red hooks/minnows and perch pattern jigs. All our bites came from 4p-6p.

We just hit Tobacco Gardens on Saturday, fished in 27' and caught walleyes/sauger from 10a-noon and again at about 4p. Best day of fishing we've had on the big lake. We switched up bait all day and couldn't pinpoint a favored presentation.

We fished on Thursday the 6th. We set up in 27 FOW along the shore west of the White Earth mouth. Only caught one small walleye on a swedish pimple at about 5:30 pm. We fished from 4pm to 8:30pm. Real disappointing night.

Fished west of the mouth, along the shore in 24'. Got a real late Start so we settled into the first place we drilled. From 4pm to 8 pm we only caught one small wally. Beautiful night, slow fishing.

We do 90% of our fishing at night so I'm maybe the wrong person to ask but the few mornings we have been out appear to be a touch more active than the night bite.

I'll be going out to White Earth again tonight. Should have another report late this evening.

I have fished white earth 2weeks ago 3 days in a row and the first day I caught 8 walleyes with the biggest being 19in, and the next 2 days was 3 fish a day after that and I fished the same area. 22fow on a point. only fished the mornings 8 to1, with most of fish coming in around 10 to 12.  Is the night bite better on the Lake?

good luck.
