A brand new pair of socks are one of my favorite things that make a day go by just that much better. What are some little things that dont really amount to much but sure make a big impact?

Setting up decoys in the morning in a field that was loaded with waterfowl the night before, that is my favorite part of the hunt, the anticipation is still there and the exitement is high.  If the morning is a gangbuster shoot or if you never fire a shot, it does not matter at that point, the anticipation of the coming shooting hour is there.
My little slice of heaven.

Waking up to birds outside the window and sun shining in instead of an alarm clock.

A wakeup call from my old man every morning    singing.... "You're in the army now, you're not behind the plow, you gotta get up you gotta get up, you're in the army now".  Said with one hell of a deep and loud voice... always gets my day going!

Even though I'm not in the army, it was a song my grandpa sang to my dad as a child after WWII

A Monster, Copenhagen Long Cut, and mabye seeing a critter to snipe on my 20 minute drive to work. Or having an extra 20-30 minutes to catch some bait.

Yep, that too. When the wife hits snooze and gets ready for work I get to snuggle with Butters for an extra half hour.

+1000    Doesn't get much better than that. Except seeing them light up like a christmas tree just because they caught a sunnie.

haha that is funny.

Mine is putting new tackle in the tackle box or just getting ready for the fishing trip or season with anticipation of what it will bring.
