10 Poorest Cities in America
VERY INTERESTING E-MAIL ALL THE WAY TO THE END....
AND THAT'S THE "TRUTH"

Einstein once said,
'The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again

and expecting different results.'
It is the poor who habitually electDemocrats ....
yet they are stillPOOR.
"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up
by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man
by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage
by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them,
what they could and should do for themselves."

Abraham Lincoln

1.  You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.

2.  What  one person receives without working for, another person must work for without  receiving

3. The government cannot give to anybody  anything that the government does not first  take from somebody else.

4.. You cannot multiply wealth  by dividing it.

5. When half of the people get the  idea that they do not have to work because the other half  is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

I dont think Lincoln actually made those statements. Which leads me to believe the dates might not be so accurate either, although i wouldnt be surprised if they were. These copy and paste political fwd's are notoriously inaccurate imo.

With the uneploymnet and poverty in these cities, and the shortage of workers now and in the near future in Western ND you would think something could be workd out to benift both problems.

Oh believe me they have been moving in by the bus loads, but unfortunately it isnt always the best of the unemployed that make their way here. Seems if you cant get work in your own town there might be a reason other than a lack of jobs, for some that is.

5575--                Yet when you start digging deeper into the Census Bureau report, what stands out is that of the 10 poorest states in the country, most are the reddest in the nation -- solidly GOP states.

I am not talking about loading people and then unloading them in ND. I am saying why couldn't a trade type schooling in the citys such as welding, truck driving, heavy equipment operaters,  A complete background testing be done long before they get to ND. This to be paid for over a period of time by the person using such a program.

Not to side with fish, but I question some of those stats too.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." -Edmund Burke

"The time at which I stand before you is full of interest. The eyes of all nations are fixed on our Republic. The event of the existing crisis will be decisive in the opinion of mankind of the practicability of our federal system of government. Great is the stake placed in our hands; great is the responsibility which must rest upon the people of the United States. Let us realize the importance of the attitude in which we stand before the world. Let us exercise forbearance and firmness. Let us extricate our country from the dangers which surround it and learn wisdom from the lessons they inculcate."

-Andrew Jackson, 2nd Inaugural address, 1833

Forget who is Rep.and who is Dem. and who is to blame for the poverty.  Quite talking and do some-thing.

Build and build no other way.   Sooner or later it is going to happen in a big way.

It is not going to happen over night nor will the training of more qualified workers.

That's what is going on now, and everything within a town has to grow as well; ie. police, FD, infrastructure, septic, water, etc.

I'm only pointing out that they're coming faster than the building can take place, and a lot of people uproot and head this direction with no set plan and realize they have nowhere to live once they show up.

Turns out my neighbor has one spare bedroom left maybe she could fit a couple families in there.

Yes I know that and have several friends in Willston and as I have said many times I do get to ND a lot.  I have no answer for the ones that are coming in with no plan.
The people I know just got a house bought and will be there the rest of thier lives hopefully.

If and I mean If the off shore drilling starts again in a big way this might take some ot the pressure off ND.
