Former Minnesota Twins general manager Terry Ryan is back at the helm of the team on an interim basis. Bill Smith was fired from the job on Tuesday.

Good,  I never liked Bill Smith.  Ryan helped build the team back up last time hopefully he can do some good again.  I am still doubtful though.  I still think they need some new blood in the front office.

The guys getting old and there is no way Cuddy is putting up the numbers he did this year again. I am not much of a Cuddy fam. Still think the Delmon trade was stupid.  They need starting pitchers and they let their whole bullpen go when it was 1 of the best in the league. That equals their horrible record.  Curious to see what happens this year. I would see if anyone would bite on a Morneau trade for a good starting pitcher but i dont think anyone will do it cause he cant stay healthy.

Given that he is one of the team’s few power options from the right side of the plate, his ability to play multiple positions and his role as a leader in the clubhouse, Cuddyer figures to be the top priority for the team to re-sign. Cuddyer just finished a four-year, $33.5 million contract and is coming off his first All-Star season. The 32-year-old will likely get plenty of interest from teams looking for a reliable right-handed hitter with pop who is an above-average right fielder and can also play first base, second base and third base.

Interesting news.  Welcomed I think.  New blood might be wise.  I don't know.

Just know the Gardy and current plan seemed to have failed us.  Gardy is probably the next one on the block.  He does a decent enough job but he will be judged more now especially on playoff losses.  Of course, we gotta get back to the playoffs to have losses...
