So if I go to newegg.com and look for something, I dont want to see ads on fishingbuddy about the EXACT same products I was looking at for the next few days. Is there a way to prevent this?

That's what makes Google rich.  Tracking everything single thing you do and then targetting you based on it.

They are called tracking cookies my friends.  They are saved on your computer from virtually every site you visit.  You can manually go and delete them, or use a cleaner such as CCleaner (available from filehippo.com).  Also, if you use google chrome for a browser you can use 'incognito' mode, which prevents any cookies from being saved to your machine, supposedly.

go to tools, options, privacy and click on remove individual cookies.  Then select remove all cookies.  Do this everyday.

Tired of Viagra and Men Seeking Men ads?

Actually, there is a better way than listed above so you can still use cookies for each session and not have to manually remove. But I can't give away all the answers.

It's not that bad.

I have my browser set to dump all the cookies when I close it. I use firefox for surfing and explorer for work stuff. Helps to keep all the bookmarks separate too.
