Fishing was very slow. had a few bites throughout the day. Managed to pull 1 perch through the ice. Was probably the largest perch I've caught out of Sweet Briar, a little over 8inches. Talked to a few others and no one else was doing much better. |

drilled about 30 holes, dipped the camera in each...seen one carp and one northern which was very aggressive, got him to the hole but lost him...wasnt very big but was fun since i watched him attack my lure. any perch left in that lake?

The fishing there isnt that great got there at 4:30AM on the 1st and got done fishing at 3:30 worst fishing ever we had 5 tip ups up and had 6 rods in the hole and got nothing in that time period the ice is good but you can hear it roar once and ever while and i would not drive a car or truck out on the ice it just craks!!!!

Went out today... fished for 5 hours and only caught 2 northern pikes. ice is only 8" thick.

I went out on Saturday and had better luck then the other people I had talked to. But I drilled alot and moved alot. Still wasnt anything fast and furious but Iced 3 eyes 16-18 inch. Caught several perch, kept 2, a few northerns, and a small musky. But I was there all day. Nothign fast and furious and a ton on walking to and moving. Alot of the people seem to be setting up and sittting in the same spot most the day.

Went out Saturday and got skunked. Talked to a few other people and one guy had one bite. Its crazy how a good lake can go to bad so fast. Ice is about 8 inches.

fun day for little kids at the outlet side of the dam. i had my little kids down there and it is just packed with little bullheads. just used lindy's/chunk of worm. bullhead every cast for quite awhile. they had a ball. got a few northerns and croppie to top it off.

Went to sweet briar on 7-14 and it is a dead sea. All we caught were 13 bull heads and nothing else. I recommend not fishing this lake unless you know a good spot or if your are really blessed by god.

Good thing it was a beautiful day because there was no fish. Tried minnows with jigs and crawlers with spinners, caught 2 small eyes and with crawlers caught 8 bullheads. Talked to others not much luck either. Water was really brown from all the rain, think this affected the fishing. |
