Fishing Sat for the afternoon only one small northern. We had a bunch of light bites they just didn't seem hungry. We fished in fifteen feet of water and we did mark alot of fish but a hour before dark they moved out and it was a dead sea

Fishing on Stump was good.  32ft of water. Caught everything 2 inches off of the bottom. Used the smallest minnows possible with colored (white) hooks. For some reason jigs didnt work. Just hooks and baby bobbers.  Farmers almanac was right on...morning bite-good, evening-poor. Nothing after 3pm.

Nice trip fishing on Saturday. Found a spot in 14 FOW - caught an early Walleye. That bite died after seeing a 6 lb northern prowling.

drilled about 50 holes. moved to 21 FOW. caught a few perch - 2 keepers. 4 15-16 inch Walleyes toward dusk. quick bite, then they turned off. We caught fish when the wind blew. must have been bringing in a system.

Went out to enjoy maybe last "good" weekend for kayaking.  fished 2 poles in the trees in about 25 feet of water.  caught about 12-13 walleye and one FAT perch using plain white jig tipped with minnow on one pole and lindy rig on the bottom with a minnow with an egg sinker on the other pole.  both poles strung with superline.  very touchy bites today.  had to have a pole in each hand.  It was a beautiful trip.  kept 5 walleye, all 11-13 inches.  kept the perch (10 incher)

fished in trees from 26ftto 34 ft of depth caught total of 12 walleye keeping 9 between 13'-17' using minnows
leeches-crawlers produced only 1 eye fish were tight to bottom used whistler jigs and jigged really slow
fish would just pick it up and mouth it  and you could only detect the bite by slowly lifting rod tip and feeling
light tension allow 5 secs. then set hook most action occured 1hrbefore dark and past sunset using glow
jigs using fireline in deeper water gives a better hook set and allows better bite detection I add on a swivel
and 3ft mono leader direct ty to jig   tigereyes

Went out again this evening ended up with 2 decent size walleye and a few throw backs. Anchored on a point with a gravel bottom in 17fow , the key was to retrieve very slow with a jig and leech till you get a bite then let them run a foot or two. Had the slip bobber and leech go down a few times also but they didnt commit.

 Good Luck

We fished the North end of Stump (Which is really the Swan Lake area) used bottom bouncers and spinners with worms, leeches and minnows. The best areas were the sunken roads and the reed beds. We caught only 12 fish in 11 hours but one was a 30 inch 6.2 lb NP. Three of our walleye were 20 inches.

Fished from shore off the highway on the east side of the lake last night. Not a bite from leaches and nightcrawlers on a lindy rig...just a lost crankbait.  I guess I know why people dont fish off the road there now :P Ill stick with DL for anything from shore .
