We did pretty good Saturday.  I brought home 8 perch and 5 walleyes. Earlier in the winter they were a little more shallow, now i cant seem to get walleyes under thirty feet just schools of small perch.  So 30 to 45 feet seems to be the ticket for me with keeper perch from 38 feet and up. Sunday was slow, i think the wind change may have had something to do with it. Also i think i like some cloud cover. Red glow was the ticket for me, my favorite firetiger doesn't seem to do it this year. good luck everyone i think this weekend should be good no matter where you're at.  Stay safe!

Went out yesterday . Started in 24 ft of water and graphed a lot of fish on vexilars. Hard bite. You really have to entice them. I used a yellow and orange gem n eye with small minnows and wax worms would catch a few then it would die down. Since weather was nice we slowly worked our way towards shore. Would catch a few perched then it would die down so we would move again. Drill more holes and caught 10 perch in a matter of mins.  Caught a limit of walleye and a limit of perch in 5 hours. Walleyed were all 16 inch keepers and perch ranged from 8 to 12 inches. They are there u just have to find them. Hard bite and light bite   They seemed to like wax works between noon and 3. Walleye moved in about 4ish then we switched to minnows. 5 guys. 9 walleye. And about 35 perch in 5 hours.  It took a lot of work but hey that's why they call it fishing and not catching. Hope this helps

Not so much a report.  Although I did good on perch over the weekend in 30 feet of water on the west end.  Had to move around a lot but would find small active schools.

Wondering what you guys use for map chip when fishing Stump.  Mine doesn't show Stump.

Went out today, entered lake from south side on old #1 (sunken road).  Followed shore around to the east.  Fished in 31 foot of water, ice was about 1.5 foot thick where we were.  We had an FL18 and a camera.  Flashed some perch, saw many perch on the camera.  There were so many darn shrimp it was hard to see, looked like my house during the summer with damn skeeters.  It did not matter what we threw at them, live minnows, minnow heads, waxies, spoons, jiggin rapalas, rattle spoons, etc.  We could not buy a bite.  We saw MANY perch swim right up to the lure, just sit there and watch then swim away.  Holding the bait dead-still, slow tremor, hard jig, etc, they would not bite.  Anyone else figure out what the heck they want??  About sundown we caught one small, maybe 8 inch perch.  Right before we left we had something blow by the camera so fast we could not tell if it was a fish or a rocket.  About a second later, did not even flash on my flasher, my pole bent double.  Ever pull in a 4 pound snot rocket on an ultra-lite set up for perch?  It was a blast, I swore my pole should have broken in half, never seen one bend that way.  4 Lb line held that sucka right up through the hole... he's supper tomarrow.  Good luck y'all, I can't figure out what the finicky perch want.

Went out Monday, Slooooow. Caught a couple of small walleyes on dead sticks. We fished the west side of old one just outside the trees. We worked hard and moved a lot. We drilled a lot of holes just to barely get our limit. That's why it's called fishing not catching.   No spot was better than the other.  We fished 36-45 ft of water. Perch liked small jigs tipped with waxies, very light biters.  Going out before the weekend, hopefully a better results.

Went fishing Monday, very Slooooooow.  Caught a couple of small Walleyes on dead sticks.  Really had to work hard for perch. I was all over the west side of old of one.  Drilled many holes just to find fish. Found fish in deep water 38-45 of the trees.  No spots were better than the other. really had to put in time and effort just to barely get our limit. Moving was critical.  Waxies and small jigs, very light biters.  Going out before the weekend, hopefully better than Monday.

Heard many good things about perch being caught out on stump in water anywhere from 19-45 fow, naturally walleye up shallow morning and evening. Shad raps for them and buckshots for the perch with minnow head. Will be moving my permant out there soon also, good luck boys and girls.

Fished east side of of new hwy 1.  We did awesome.  We found some deeper water and caught fish in the morning 8:30-11:00 then 2:00-5:00.  we were catching fishing up to 5:00 the main reason for leaving was weather an bad road conditions.  Dead sticks caught 1 fish. All fish were caught on waxies and minnow heads. Northland jigs and Buckshots did great. It caught all the walleye and lots of the perch.  Constant jiggin and watching the flasher was key.  47.87875 -98.29945.  Happy holidays and good luck fishing this weekend.

Fished in 28' caught 3 walleye fished 34' of water away from a tree and killed the perch. We ended up catching over 40 perch. All caught on small jigs and waxies right off the bottom.
