Call him and ask.  As far as I know he has had trout, bluegill, perch, & bass.  Might depend on what makes it through the winter too.

How big and deep are your ponds ?  have you stocked them in the past ?    Harold was short on panfish  last fall but things may have changed.

trout are easiest to raise but require higher oxygen levels than most others.   Perch are fairly easy if you don't plan on feed training them .      I sent you a pm

Have never tried raising bass or taken the time to learn much about them.    University of Wisconsin  is a good source for information.

How big are they? Is there much vegetation in the water? Did the trout and walleye make it through the winter? Catfish might be an option. If you want them to last over the winter, I would be concerned with the oxygen level.

It's not that bad.

I can't imagine much would live in a 10 foot pond over the winter and many fish may die in the summer.   Your best bet may just be to put in some trout in the spring and let them grow through the summer.  We did this in a deeper stock pond and they made it through the summer.  Fun to catch on a fly rod.  Northern pike are hardy and would eat all the mudpuppies that are probably in there.

The price wasn't too bad.  I think we paid $200 delivered for quite a few trout.  Can't remember where my dad got them though.  It was someplace close to Bismarck.  I can find out if you need the info.

I have always wondered what the regulations are for building your own private lake (pond) to fish. I remember reading about making ur own lake in a magazine a few years back and all of bill dance's bass fishing shows now days are on his own private lake. Just curious. Anyone know?

I have some links on my home computer I can share in a week or so but everything you need should be here.   Also keep in mind that you need stocking permits from NDGF.
