Nice Little Buck

I hunted all over the countryside for the first 12 hours of the hunting season, and then decided to hunt the field just west of where I was staying. I took this buck about 1000 yards west of my camper
1995 Stizo's First Buck

This is the first buck I ever harvested. We knew a guy who said he would mount it for cost, so I took him up on the offer. It is on the wall in my 4th grade classroom along with the antelope mount.
1971 Antelope Trophy

Here is a photo of my buddy with his 7.1 lb Ling Cod. I like to call them Burbots. Anyway, they sure are fun to catch. He cleaned about four out of the five burbot we caught that afternoon, and

These geese are safe and protected here on the Mouse River in Minot. This location is just two blocks from my house on one of the oxbows or dead loops of the river in Minot. They fly over my house
Opening Day Pheasant

We are hunting good stuff, but bird numbers are down. Lots of young males this year. We did not have very many birds with significant tails this weekend. The wind was clipping along pretty good
Young Ringneck Pheasants

This is my limit for Saturday Oct 9th, 2004. As you can see, the photo has one mature bird on the left and two immature cocks on the right. Not much meat on those small ones, and if you don''''''''t

Another Photo of 04 Mount

I have one more photo for the gallery since nilsmaster wants to send in his whole album. I figured I could send in one more of my deer. : ) Come on old man winter! Freeze the crap out of us
Audubon Ice Conditions

Many places look like this. I would imagine that the ice has melted an refrozen in many areas. Be careful if you try it. I hope the bays solidify by Friday. Looks like a jigsaw puzzle right now.
First Ice on Audubon

I drove down to see how much ice we have on Lake Audubon. Not the safest conditions, but there is ice. Thickness varies from 0 to 4 inches depending where you look. There were two fishermen on

This pistol has been in my family for generations. I know nothing about it except for what is stamped on the frame.

Unfinished Walleye Mount

This is a walleye mount which is near the finished product. The next step is airbrushing/painting. It is interesting to see the different stages of these works of art. Stizo :)
Frozen Walleye

This walleye came in for processing. The best way to package a walleye from the lake is to wrap it in a WET towel, with all of the fins collapsed, and then laid on a perfectly flat surface for transport.
Nottawopper

25 March 05: Not the whopper 20 pounder we were looking for, but had fun anyhow. We caught and released two about this size. Stizo :)

This is an old skull from last fall or possibly last year. It has larvae casing in it, so it had to have died in the Fall. Probably a bow kill that was never found. No velvet hanging on either. Stizo
Audubon Canadian Geese

This goose decided to fly right through my shot, so I waited a few extra seconds to see if I could catch him at the right time. Worked out great. I think I have more fun hunting birds with a camera

They had to put bullet proof glass over the signature because people were using high powered rifles to shoot at it from a high bluff on the North side of the Yellowstone River. If you look closely,
