Anyone heading out? How many tags will you get? I'll start with one. I think finding a spot might be my biggest challenge. Have been on a couple public spots that might be okay. Continue to knock on doors and see what happens. Excited to try out my new T2 blind as well and get the kids out. Will be their first trips out hunting.

I am going to the Valentine area to turkey hunt end of April. Anybody know if the weather this winter hurt the turkey population in the Niobrara River area?
I am planning on just 1 tag then going to the Black Hills area in SD to hunt a couple of days.

I'm not sure on the Valentine area, wrong end of the state for me. But where are you going in the hills? I hunted by Spearfish a couple of years ago. Great land, but I never really seen that many turks. They were around, I just didn't have much luck with them.

I think we are going to the south end of the area. I am going with a friend who went there last year. He killed a turkey up on the northh end of the area but everyone told him to go further south so I think we are going to look around down there.
