Going to be ordering a new set of splash gaurds for my tiller, with a vantage, From what i've read they all come custom made for your boat. Looking for info good or bad on brands, right now looking at Wave Wackers.

I have wave wackers on my Pro V IFS, and they are built for a vantage...but no vantage on the boat anymore.  I have taken off the plastic cut out for the Vantage and would be willing to part with it, let me know if you are interested.  The wave wackers have been good, no complaints.

I've ran Walleye Master Spash guards on my last two boats and I really like them. The only difference between Wave Wakers and Walleye Masters is that the  Wave Wakers have a wrap around on the ends of the guard. I just went with Walleye masters because thats what the dealer sold.

There both good brands and fairly priced. I would recomend putting on the highest possible size; you wont regreat it.

I've always had Wave Wackers on all my boats.  Never ever had a problem with them and wouldn't go without them.

All wave wackers made are cut out for a vantage?? Mine just came in and have to pick them up. I was wondering about that because i thought about that after i had them made and want to put a vantage on now.

Mine is two separate pieces with rubber between them where the vantage would be mounted.  It also has another plastic piece that wraps around the outside of the vantage and connects the two pieces (kinda hard to explain).  SInce the vantage is off, I took off the plastic wrap around piece and just kept it as the two separate pieces with rubber where they meet.  I'm thinking that you might want to check to make sure that you will be able to mount the vantage with the wacker you got.

I have the wave wackers on mine and here is the setup I have with the vantage.  Its also similar to what you would have with a kicker mount too.

I went with Whitecaps for mine last year after the recommendation from some guys on this site.  Couldn't be happier.   Price was very resonable and have nothing but good things to say so far about them.   Guy was awesome to visit with over the phone.  I actually wanted some extra brackets once installed and he sent them to me free of charge!!  Had them in less than a week but mine were not custom for vantage so could take a little longer for that.  Here is the site with the contact info.

There were some a few years back that had problems with that.  Since putting on the Whitecaps, I have seen no marks on my motor.  The site states they also have had no issue with this.  I believe most companies have fixed this issue and it no longer exists.

My Whitecaps were very easy to install.  And very easy to take off.  Can have both off in less than 1 minute!!
