Wanted to take family out snowmobiling this weekend and was hoping to find an area in ND to go. Is there anywhere that has a descent amount to ride?

with the daytime highs in the 30's prodicted for this week you will probably have to head to the mountains   not much snow yet.

It reminds me of the late 1990's. As guilty as many back then a rush went on buying new snowmobiles cracking 5 to 7 thousand. Snow everywhere! But then it went away for eight plus years and people had machines sittin idle. Today tis the same but machines are 10k plus!

Head to the mountains was the answer then and is now. La Nina couldn't fight it's way out of the coast and Alaska.

I will say this though. Tis better to buy a 'North Dakota' snowmobile asin an older reliable used sled and when you go to the mountains just rent one.

They have a fair amount.   It really drifted on the lake this last weekend.  Actually got hung up once with the fish house.

We got plenty of snow in the Turtle Mountains last week and it has snowed a little bit every day since.  Trails are all marked and ready to go.  Have fun!!  RodNReel

Hoping to get out with the old snowmobiles and kids this weekend for some riding.  I am hoping for some snow amounts/riding condition reports for southern ND, day trip driving distance from Bismarck preferably.
