Skeeter Boat cracks

Looking for some help.  Skeeter Wx2060, one year old less than fifty hours on it.  I have some cracking going in with the gel coat.  Took to River City Sports and Skeeter will not warranty as they say it is cosmetic.  What are my options as it is roughly $6500 to fix?  You would think a company would stand behind a $55,000 boat.

You would think they would also. Looks like ins. time. Those spendy boats will cost ya in the long run. Not really sure if they catch any more fish than your $4-20 K boats either...

If it is within their 1 year warranty period for the gel coat I would press Skeeter really hard on this issue. You didn't mention where the gel coat cracks were at or what they looked like. Most times the cracks are from stress or flexing when a boat is this new you may have problems. If it's older than the one year period the gel coat cracks have to lead to a structural hull problem for them to warranty the issue.

Defects in the exterior cosmetic gelcoat finish (cracks or crazing) and upholstery imperfections. Warranty Period runs one year (1) from the date of delivery to the original retail purchaser. Repairs will only be authorized after Skeeter is satisfied that there is a defect in material or workmanship.

Good luck!
