how in the hell can you stand the spices  Brother bought some and I put it on some fresh pike I tasted it and told him to eat what he wanted because I was going to throw the rest out.  He took it with him hauling oil  he likes that spicey stuff.
That cajun stuff  can't eat that stuff.
I went to a feed from church and a lady from New Orleans said she would make cajun food so I thought why not I looked at it and said I didn't want mine burned black even tried to scrape it off didn't work still tasted too bad. too spicey
I like gator tail and raccoon and rattlesnake but not cajun

I dont mind the Cajun..... Flour, salt and pepper fried in butter with a side of warm homeade bread and (more) butter and a cold Budweiser is still my favorite.

This might be sacreligeous and I risk getting my FBO membership pulled, but to change things up, I took some walleye fillets and ground them up in the cuisinart and made fish patties. Fried them up in butter with salt and pepper, add some mayo on a bun....excellent!  Made for a nice change.

Haha,  you should try Bass Pro Shop's Uncle Buck's Spicy breading.  Now that stuff will burn ya, but it is so good.  I personally love the Cajun Shore Lunch.  I will even add a little cayenne to it if I am in the mood and don't have Uncle Buck's.

Without a doubt, coming out into nature is one of the neatest things there is to do, but you also have to be careful. That’s why I always try to pack the heat — try to pack a gun. Just a little bit — pack some heat. Now this isn’t too — this isn’t much of a big boy, I don’t want to kill the animal, but I do want to warn it, and say “hey, I think you’re pretty neat, but I respect your distance.” There’s bears out here, there’s mountain cougars, and biting goats.

I tried that stuff not long ago and it was to harsh, that's why I stick with original shore lunch. and one time I had a friend over and I deep fried 3 or so fat 24 inch northern and 6 12 inch fat lake ashtabula bullheads, but I forgot that he is only able to eat a small fraction of what I can, so he ate 2 or so pieces and left the rest for me, needless to say i ate it all, with room to spare.

Ahh come on cajun shorelunch is only hot when it comes out of the frying pan, in which case I use franks red hot sauce to cool it down!!

I made fishcakes before and they tasted great, kinda like a crab cake. The prep wasn't as fun,  something about fish in a blender triggered my gag reflex, but i powered through it.

I like to take the spicy stuff and mix it wth the regular. You get the flavor and not so spicy. That and a cold one, well it just doesn't get much better than that.

Last week I sprinkled some cajun shore on sliced potatoes and dipped them in half corn starch half flower beer batter mix.  I pan fried them and it was the best Potatoes I have ever tasted.   It was so good that I didn't even fry the fish like I had planned to. I fried up another batch of potatoes and put the fish in the freezer.

We use it on chicken. The wife mixes it half and half with flour to tone it down a bit for the kids. Good stuff.

I like how the cajun tastes, but the last few boxes I picked up, the flour seemed damp. It won't stick to the fish and just kind of clumps up.

Uncle bucks spicy is also delish!
