Has anyone ever used Shore Lunch coating for shrimp? I was thinking about trying it but thought I would  see if anyone had satisfactory results before I dive into it.

Never tried it on shrimp but put some on pheasant. It turned out great. Added some pepper, onion powder, little garlic and some season salt, cut them in bit size pieces and then deep fryer. Couldn't make them fast enough. Also after deep frying them roll them in some asian zing from bww's, that also is delicious.

I will second that!!  Use it like breading and throw it on grill!!

Also like to do a shrimp boil with it:

3 cans of beer--2 for boil and 1 for hand
Old Bay Seasoning--Amount to Preference
Bag of Shrimp (Skins on to Hold Seasoning)
1 Stick Butter

Combine 2 cans of beer, Old Bay Seasoning, and Shrimp in disposable tin roaster.  Cut butter into squares and lay on top of shrimp bath.  Cover with tin foil and place on grill for approx. 20 minutes.  Remove and devour.  Be careful as boil will be very hot.

We use Old Bay for our shrimp also.  Good stuff.

Most grocery stores carry it.  It is made by Mcormick or however you spell it.  We usually boil the shrimp and then sprinkle on some Old Bay and broil it in the oven to get rid of the excess moisture.  My mouth is watering right now.

Have used it, actually did some testing with it when creating a shrimp breading for our restaurant, it does work good, my advise would be do some mixing with other breadings/flours/batters til you get the kind of consistency and coverage that you like best. Also dont be afraid to add any seasonings and spices that you like right to the shore lunch or any breading mixture you come up wth. Like these guys said old bay if very good mixed in there, also season salt, lemon pepper, garlic/onion powders, or any of the hundreds of "secret" seasonings you can find in the store. Sheels and Cabelas have tons of them no reason to use them on their own mix them in and find what you like. Look at this way you are breading something and cooking it in oil- a mistake is usually still pretty good.

I dont go around guessing cup sizes either I just know a nice rack when I see one.

I have used the breading for fish, it isn't to bad. I tried the Shore Lunch Soups a few weeks ago and they are terrible. I would not recomend them .

My results using Shore Lunch were pretty good. First dusted them with flour, then in an egg/milk mixture, and finally in Shore Lunch coating before putting in the deep fryer. They took about 3 minutes to cook and my family approved of the final product.
