Shore Lunch Recipe?

I was planning on doing a big fish fry this weekend and I was wondering if anyone had any seasoned flour recipes that tasted close to Shore Lunch Original Recipe. Thanks for the help.

I usually use shore lunch with half of the mix being instant mashed potatoes. i usually use a milk and egg soak before running them through the "shake and bake" before going into the hot oil. We had a guide once that used the instant mashed potatoes and we loved it so we have used it ever since.

Probably a little too late since you are doing it this weekend, but you can order Shore Lunch in large amounts if you go online to their website. I think I usually order 25 pounds at a time and split it up into 5 pound packages. Even with shipping it is definately the best deal. I have the actual cost numbers at the lake, but I am at home right now so can't throw those out to you. Even if you won't use 25 pounds in a year or two, once your buddies know you have extra 5 pound bags they will sell very quickly.

I found what I was looking for. Thanks for all of the other ideas. Here is a link to a recipe that allows you to make a bunch for very little money. I hope everyone enjoys it.

Thanks for all helpful comments johnr. Based on all of your posts, it seems pretty obvious that you enjoy googling funny motivational posters and posting them in random forums. Do yourself a favor and fish a little more or at least mix up the random "humor" that you love to post.

fargoflyfish,

Those are a couple unique recipes.  I'll have to try the instant taters and the bisquick ones. Its always nice to change up breadings.

Try McCormick Cajun...make sure fillets are dry, coat in eggs then in cajun...it has a littls spicy aftertaste but holds onto the fillets great
