Shooting Blinders

Has anyone ever used these for trap shooting?  I noticed on the show Shooting USA, some people were wearing them.

I know a number of guys that use them for archery.

Most guys that don't have a real strong dominant eye seem to benefit from them.

I was thinking of getting them for traditional archery.  I seem to shoot ok if I focus just on the target.  But if I notice anything out of my peripheral vision, I miss.

jmed,

Thats exactly what the blinder are for, they help guyz focus on the target @ hand and  to eliminate seeing movement on the line with perpheral vision, blinders and wearing a hat gives you tunnel vision looking out over the trap house.

I have tried wearing blinders, but for me they were more of a distraction.  I had a very difficult looking beyond the front bead of my gun whenever I have wore blinders.  I am certain it is just head game.  The only time I wear them now is when I trapshoot in the rain.  However, there are a lot of very good shooters that where the blinders.  I think it is something that would require a couple thousand targets to get used to wearing.
