Does anyone ever make it up to the rainy river during  the shiner run ?  for that early fall bite  inform  us if you have

I have a friend who whacks em up their on the mouth of the river with downriggers in september.  Big hogs too.

yup, nice big public ramp right on the river in the middle of the resorts and if you time it right its really good fishing

Its in MN.  North near Lake of the Woods I believe.  Never fished it but the Minnesota people I work with sure will go off about how great the spring and fall fishing is.  Sounds like you could just about walk across the river without getting wet in the spring because of all the boats
