Found some open water and fished downstream from a dam. Tried jigs and minnows first and only got one bite but couldnt hook up. But i got a averaged size northern on a red/white daredevil. First time ive ever fished open water in December.

Went out today from 1230 to 230 caught a limit of walleye. Fathead minnows caught fish using a jig and minnow combo, also cought some on a lindy rig.

i've been down to the maple sheyenne dam the last few days, can't keep the pike off. Castin white twister tails on pink jigs and casting pink swim baits. Live bait has been gettin the walleye tho.

oh, I forgot to mentian a few things in my last report, the northern had a 7 inch buffalo in it, and the other 2 had eggs, kept those to see what they taste like. and the sauger had a weird grouth on its gill.

i went out to the diversion this weekend and caught some saugers, walleyes, smallies, and even crappies! someone else that was there caught a couple sunnies i was veryyy surprised

scaryman strikes again. hit where the Rush meets the sheyenne just north of Harwood, used a lage dead slightly dried minnow that I found on a jig head and got a fat 22'' walleye, then I used a frog that I found in our egress window and got a very fat 16 inch sauger, and to top it off, I used shrimp on a beatle spin to get a nice 24 inch northern, kept all.

I first tried a lindy and fathead but only caught 3 bullheads, So i casted a beetle spin and caught a nice Northern.

hit the dam near the VCS footbal feild, on a small yellow and green jig, I got a 9 or so inch crappie, and on a 4 inch gold and red shallow diving minnow bait, I got a 17 inch smallmouth, likely over 3 pounds, but did not get it registerd with the whopper club, fun though! I did see a guy using minnows get a 6 pound eye, and half it's tail was missing!

hit the mill dam area in VC, nothing, did get 2 hits, one was a northern, and the other might have been a smallmouth, but can't certin. the best part is that I might have found a fossilized dinosaur footprint under the bridge nearest to the dam. the snags were horrible, lost size 2 and 3 scyclops', and a nice beatlespin. and a big fat guy going over the foot bridge at VCS tossed a fountin pop cup over the side of the bridge. the leaves almost clogging the river, and the dam was not fishable because the current was so strong.

The smallmouths have been biting well the last few days. I have had the best luck on a lindy and a fathead. Most have been 12-13.5 inches

hit the north diversion in west fargo, only had a small jig and didn't use it, conditions were to bad, but I did see some fish that appeared to be sm bass under the cattle pass under 12th AVE N, and a ditch that drained into the branch of the diversion was full of dead dried carp, and in the ditch going by the stockyards, I found a big angry snapper.

Another great night, only had a half hour but it was great. I casted a rattle trap and caught a 13inch smallmouth on the first cast. 2 casts later I hooked a northern and lost. Took 1 more cast and caught a 19 inch Northern. What a blast

It was a beutiful day to be on the river. I caught a 15in Northern, and a Redhorse sucker, a bullhead and also caught the smallest fish of my life a 2in smallmouth bass. The northern was caught on a beedle spin, the bullhead and sucker came on a lindy and worm and the bass was on a jig. Fishing wasn't great but I had fun.

With the water levels back to normal I had the itch to fish. I casted cranks for walleys with little succes. I got one nice walleye probably around 20in. but lost it by shore(didnt have a net) and 1 really small bass. I threw an x-rap and a shad rap, and flicker shad. Got the walleye on the shad rap and the bass on the flicker shad.
