Anyone know if the Eagles Fishing derby is on the 14th? I assume it is but just checking.

went out for eagles tourney noticed alot of water on ice but ice is two feet thick. Went out on sleds to the NW part of the lake had few bites caught a 2 1/4 lb snotrocket (pike) that took first place for tourney was told alot of smaller northern and perch were caught and all released also caught a 7 1/4 oz perch that was released that didnt place. Lost a fishing pole from a dam slough shark we were sitting in about 7 to 15 ft of water

Anyone have any tips to fish this lake from shore? Had my 3 yr old out last night on the West side but didn't catch anything. Had a small perch follow my lure up on one cast, but that was it.
