iv'e heard alot about tthis lkake my buddies uncle use to fish it 15 years ago but hasent since he always talks about the variety of fish on this lake is the salmon fisihn really that good on this lake we want to go down when its ice off we havw a boat or whats the best plan for us to do we comin from grand forks nd shore boat ? where at? id like to hit up some salmon ive never caught one what do you tell a first timer to do? and help would be appreciated thanks

Salmon are more abundant above the damm on the Big Lake. They are usually caught in late summer. You don't need alot of equipment. Long lineing with a deeper rap along the face of the damm is most popular. Not to say you won't find them in Lake Oahe but not as common most are caught by mistake while fishing for walleye. Not as lean - Not as mean - Still a Marine! |
