Was curious as to what size salmon are being caught on the lake side of the dam? I know last year the average was way up from years past. Was thinking this year there should be some real giants but haven't heard a peep about salmon in the lake this year. All the talk seems to tailrace. Anyone have the downlow? Thanks

3 uncles went out this past weekend. 28 fish total for 2 days. 7 lb average.  Thats a short and sweet story. lol. Talked to one of the uncles tonight on the phone about it, said it was pretty constant action throughout the weekend, they are heading up there again this weekend. Good luck fishing! Im stuck in Fargo for a few weekends, otherwise I would be back home and on the water too!

A buddy of mine has been doing good on the lake the last two weekends. They hooked up 16 of them landed 11 ranging between 7-12lbs. Then on Saturday they hooked up on 8 of them and landed 6 of them. With the biggest being 13lbs. All of them were caught on cranks. In 20-35' of water.

The bad report is that they fished on Sunday for 6 hours and caught 0.

They increase their catch ratio this weekend by using a mono leader in front of the cranks.

I can tell ya the walleye bite was terribly slow this weekend by beulah, we never headed over to pick city in pursuit of salmon. Wish we would have.

Good luck

If we're not supposed to eat animals, how come they're made out of meat?
