posted by: bbouncer. The bears season will depend on how well Brian Urlacker (sp) comes back. He is the glue to the defense. The defense will determine if Cutler hurts them or helps them. Good D, Solid run game and a quarterback that can make a big throw now and again equals good season. Bad D will mean Culter throws the ball alot and then interceptions will rain down equals bad season. They got to their last superbowl on great D, run the ball and grossman making an occasional play. Culter is a good quarterback if he does not have to be Peyton Manning, Drew Brees or Brett Farve and carry the team.

Hey archer, wagers that the Bears are hoping to ink Alan Williams for the defensive coordinator? They do that, I might be happy. Although, like I have said, in order to run cover 2 a team MUST, MUST, MUST have a pass rush. Bears seemed to lake that the last two years. Don't know why. Poor coaching scheme, injuries or poor player development.

I hope the reason the Bears haven't signed anyone or interviewed only one person is because they want Williams from the Colts!

posted by: archer. A great system can make a good qb look pretty fantastic and vise versa. If Im as pathetic as the bears have been the past twenty years I dont know why I woulndt give this a try. Even in the glory years of the 80's the Bears had a crappy offense.

posted by: Tim Sandstrom. We did away with polls. Honestly, I think there are like 7 active Bear fans. Probably more lurking but it's North Dakota. Most everyone is obsessed with the Vikes and Pack. Precisely the reason I am a Bears fan!

That and years ago I liked hunting like I do now. A bear mascot only made sense compared to cheering for tyrants like the Vikings and cheeseheads!!!

Cutler didn't roll out because Ron Turner never utilized the kid's assets. If there is one certainty with Martz he WILL get Cutler in play that attribute his skill set. Of course, the worry is INTs (which increase with Martz). Oh the unknowns!!!!!
