Are there any colors that seem to work better than others up there?

What do most guys use under slip bobbers, just a plain hook and split shot or jigs?

posted by: TCRenagade. The best spot I have notice along Highway 19 on DL is about a half mile West of the Mauvis Coulee bridge if the wind is from the North. Otherwise I would stay by that bridge crossing.
On Stump lake the spot where the flooded gravel road that use to cross the lake just a couple miles North of the park is worth checking out, or where old Highway 1 hits the lake. It is Just West of the new highway right West of Stump Lake Park.
Stump Lake park has a cafe and a fish cleaning station and bait shop along with the camp ground.

posted by: Farnorth. Highway 19 at Creel Bay, Hwy 19 near old 281, or even the Grahams Island Road are all good spots. Best is a place where the waves are coming in.

Lindy Rigs with the small floaters approximately 6 inches up from the hook and tipped with a leech work very well. Cast it out and let it sit. The bite is really strong about dark but they have been hitting earlier lately also.

If the bite is slow, try retreiving slowly with frequent stops.
