Had one or two west of Turtle lake this fall but no sightings this spring.Just returned from a trip to Colo.,camping on Gore pass.plenty of snow at 8900 feet and six Shiras moose in the camp for over an hour. We were only 30 yards from them but they came to us so we just sat. They milled around for a while and gradually dispersed.Next morning there were 3 different moose less than 50 yards from camp.I guess those re-introduction plans do work.Great to see the big ugly fellers.

re: Moose two miles east of Hazen

posted by: jeckler. im also from hazen have a aunt who live a few miles out of stanton&nbsp;and her daugter said mom look at the deer so she look and saw a female moose right in their front yard can here her grunting on som eof my gramparents land <br />

re: Moose two miles east of Hazen

posted by: Tim Sandstrom. With the rising lake levels, there will be quite a few moose from the west end of the lake looking for a new home.&nbsp; Those animals can and will travel long distance.
