Stone Butte Ranch is East and South of Elgin on the Cannonball river.&nbsp; Gravel road south of highway 21 about 5 miles..&nbsp;&nbsp; I can tell you I personally know the guy that runs that place and he was flooded this spring.&nbsp;&nbsp; I'm sure he will be back on line by the fall however.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Glen Ullin has motel rooms also but I'm not sure of the name or number.&nbsp;&nbsp; As was stated above, Elgin has a 10 room hotel right on Highway 21 and campers as well.&nbsp;&nbsp; No cooking facilities I don't think in the hotel itself however.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br /> <br /> If you are really&nbsp;up for a treat and may not want to put as many miles on as&nbsp; you would running back and forth from Stone Butte Ranch, hunt down there on the Cannonball River.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Get in touch with its owner Allen R. and see if there are hunting opportunities down there.&nbsp;&nbsp; Usually its posted pretty tight down there but bowhunting opportunities may exist and Allen would know.&nbsp; He's lived there most of his life and would know all the landowners.&nbsp; Very rustic setting along the hills of the cannonball.&nbsp; Not sure what is available in the cabins as far as cooking, ect.&nbsp;&nbsp; I think they have a website if you want to google it.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; good luck.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Tell him the guy with the barbed wire scars on his leg sent you.&nbsp;&nbsp; He'll know who I am.&nbsp; I worked for him my senior year on his ranch back in '73; we had a little accident pulling barbed wire from one pasture to another one day!!http://www.fishingbuddy.com/lodging_around_lake_tschida#2826192009-05-20 20:13:59http://www.fishingbuddy.com/lodging_around_lake_tschida#282619posted by: gonefshn.
