Hard to beat the Nitrex 2 scopes at Natchezss right now. Half off plus a $100 mail in rebate. I bought one and its nice. These are Weaver Super Slam's under a different name. Lifetime warranty, made in Japan.

Vortex Viper 4-12x40 AO @ $249 is the best deal going on a great all-around scope.  I have 2 Zeiss Conquests and this one is pretty close for way less and the warranty is unbeatable should you ever need it.  This scope was $400+ this time last year before they decided to go away from the regular plex reticle.  Should be available at SWFA or CameralandNY.

Nikon Monarch 4-16 or Leupold VX-II 4-12, can't go wrong with either.

Shop Ebay, I know the Monarch can be had for under $400 new.

Leupold VX3, Nikon Monarch, Viper Vortex or Zeiss Conquest. Any will work great for your purposes.

Anything Leupold.

If it's jacked they wlll fix it  for free.  Period.  No questions asked. Shoot it on a spring magnum airgun.  It aint the scope, it's the magnum, 20yd, "boing", spring gun.

Mount one on a good .22 and pop all sorts of beady, black eyes on the ground or in the trees.

Send back the "defective" Leupold scope of  which you own, by yardsale or otherwise; to your address and it will be returned to you fixed and much better than Obama free.

I like Leupold Optics.

even a 2000.00 scope aint gonna help on 300 yards "running" shots

Vipers are good right now, also at closeout price (couldnt resist and bought 3 of them!). Ive dealt with their customer service before and they are great. For the $ tho they arent quite what you get with the Nitrex, considering the rebate, which is easy to get, I already have my refund check.
