I am looking to get a new scope for new 308. I have done some research on scopes and I was wondering about the brand Millett.  Does anyone any information on this brand or their recommendation for a scope?

I have a Leupold Gold Ring scope on my 30-06 and absolutely love it. Very nice scope but I am guessing a little pricey. It was a gift so I am not sure how much they run.

I have four of the millet scope all are the 6-24x56 they are ok scopes but there are better scopes shortly after I bought the millets I read a article in predator magazine on Nikko sterling and bought a couple of the 6-24x56 night eater to try now I own six for the money they stand along side big name brands and are much better than the millett which are solid scopes but not as clear as Nikko sterling now you'll get the guys that are oh its china glass junk and ya gotta buy the name brand high dollar scopes to get quality well that's bull crap I have both my scopes spend a lot of time banging around in pickups and they hold zero and optics are clear there are a number of scopes out there that are super good scopes but its like the john deere or case ih adds or the Ford or Dodge after thirty yrs in the gun business I will say that nothing losses you money faster than a scope todays technology is tomorrows old glass so if you are a week end shooter and not a professional hunter you will be much happy with that millett
grade than the top of the line in ten yrs when you want to trade. One last thing the millet falls in to a class witch is close to a number of others like Nikko, leapers,Nc star and Barska and if they work for you that's fine if someone tells you you need a high end scope tell them to sign a check and your new Ziess will be on the way
