There are a lot of sandbars so watch the difference in the waves on the water while moving. Go slow on the way to your spot and you should be able to go fast on the way back. Helps to have gps on your locator so you can keep the same route on the way back. Just go slow and you should be fine. Not a tone of stumps by bismarck mostly sand.

Went south of Bismarck for a little walleye action.  Morning bite was pretty slow.  Picked up one 18 inch walleye.  Picked up and moved to a couple of different spots towards the afternoon.  Found a spot for the afternoon and picked up five more between 16 and 20 inches.  Jigged with minnows.  We had floating jigs sitting off the back of the boat all day but they were dead.  Everything was picked up off jigging.  The bites were light.
