Went fishing by the Fort Rice Boat ramp area on Friday. Caught everything BUT walleye. Went home with empty live-well. It was a nice day on the river though. Talked with people managed to boat a few small eaters.
Missouri River (ND Lower Portion)
Went out to the Heskett plant last night. First time ever fishing down there. Casting crankbaits while wearing waders. I caught one eye and a guy near me caught 2 eyes. It wasn't fast furious but from what I understand it should only get better in the next couple of weeks. If anyone wants toget out in the Bismack area PM me thanks.
Went out last saturday on the river in Bismarck. Fished from fox island to the fort jeddies. I pulled bottom walkers in 18 ft out from the snags with a 4' leader and a circle hook for the dead rod and used a jig and 4" gulp to throw around. Caught all fish on the dead rod. Some smaller 12-15" walleyes, a few drum, a 4lb northern. Lost a really nice walleye at the boat reaching for the net..dang. anyways a great day to be out if only for 4 hours. took home a limit of walleyes 14-16" nice and fat!!
Fished from Heart River to Captain Freddys 1 small walleye. On two boat trailers at fox island yesterday there was 10. Fishing appears to be slow.
Fished from Heart River to Heskett plant caught 1 15" walleye. Nice healthy fish also nice day to be in water.
Hasn't been a report on the river around bismarck/mandan in awhile.....anyone been out at all? Doesnt need to be a good report but just wondering if anyone has been out and about or know anyone who has?
Two of us went out Tuesday and Wednesday at Langliers and we did fair. Took a while to figure exactly what the fish wanted and where they were. Most caught in mud line right out of docking area to he north. We had tried south about 1/4 mile off a point where the farm is and picked up a couple of 12" to 14" walleyes, then ran across to the west side all the way down to the border to the north about 3 miles, back over to the east side and back south where we started. We had used bottom bouncers with spinners and crawlers, but we did try pulling cranks which didn't produce anythin
Does anyone know if there is access to the wing walls yet?
Working out in the williston area till December, never fished around here. Was wondering where there would be good spots to check out without a boat?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Put in at misty waters on Saturday morning and tried fishing by the refinery and Heskett station for a while until the fog lifted a bit. We didn't have any takers at either location. Once the fog lifted we headed down to the good old heart river community hole. We fished farther up near the mouth of the heart and managed 11 keepers between 3 of us. Lindy's and jigs tipped with a minnow or crawler, didn't really matter much.
