I don't believe it was ever intended for recreational use, therefore it hasn't been stocked, at least not by the ND Game and Fish.

 I've heard various stories about it.  Some farmer put bass in one pond for his kinds to catch, the pike and perch came from the english coulee that dumps into the red, and so on.  I have caught or witnessed someone catching pike, perch, bluegills, largemouth bass, crappies, bullheads and one walleye out of the various ponds out there.
